Lecture Title: "Integration of Orthodontics, TMJ and Sleep Disorders"
This lecture will cover conversion from a general dental office to a practice
limited to orthodontics, TMJ Disorders, and Sleep Disordered Breathing.
Typical case presentations will be utilized to expand on diagnosis, incorporation
of instrumentation, and treatment.
 

American Academy of Craniofacial Pain 25th Anniversary
International Clinical Symposium
July 22-24th, 2010   Salt Lake City, Utah

Lecture Title: "Relationship of Sleep Disordered Breathing and Craniofacial Pain"
This lecture will explore the literature linking sleep disordered breathing with
temporomandibular joint disorders and discuss known pathophysiology, along
with proposed mechanisms.  This program will also showcase patients with
TMD symptoms who tested positive for sleep disordered breathing.  When
treating the airway with mandibular advancement appliances and placing the
mandible in a position of neural neutrality, the TMD symptoms were
significantly reduced or eradicated in several case presentations that will
be shown.
